Eduardo Rodriguez supplied the solid starting pitching and
David Ortiz supplied part of the power (3 RBIs) as the Red Sox rode
today's 6-2 victory to a three-game sweep of the Pathetic Philadelphia Phillies. E-Rod went seven strong innings—giving up just one earned run on eight hits. He struck out seven and walked just one for his ninth win of the year. Ortiz clouted his 497th career HR—a 2-run shot that gave Boston a lead it never relinquished.
Mookie Betts and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. had the other RBIs in the contest.
