Well, we've been wrong before—and we are again on yesterday's
Craig Breslow start. We thought it was a bad idea. In fact, the 35-year old lefty (making his first start
ever) went four scoreless innings—handing off the rest of
the 8-0 shutout to his bullpen buddies. Those buddies delivered five shutout frames. Boston got clutch hits from a bevy of players, most notably:
Josh Rutledge (1-4, 2 RBIs),
Brock Holt (1-3, RBI, 2 R),
Rusney Castillo (2-4, 2 R) and
Mookie Betts (2-4, RBI).
The Carmine Hose look for a sweep today of the
formerly hot Birds from Baltimore.
