According to
The Providence Journal's Kate Bromson, after stepping down as CEO of the
Boston Red Sox,
Larry Lucchino will remain an owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox. In fact, it appears Lucchino will maintain his role as the lead negotiator with the state on the team's desire to build a riverfront stadium in downtown Providence. Boston's AAA franchise is seeking a move from Pawtucket to the Rhode Island capital along with construction of a new park on public/private land.
