Trout Spoils Miley Gem, Takes Koji Yard In 9th
For those of you too young to remember life before 2004, this is what Red Sox losses used to look like. Gut-wrenching, improbable, unfair walk-off losses on the road late at night. Mike Trout took Koji Uehara out of The Big A with two outs in the ninth to give the Halos a 1-0 win over Boston. Wade Miley took a no-hitter into the seventh inning—allowing just one walk until giving up his first hit. The game stayed tied until the Trout dagger. Boston got at least one baserunner aboard in each of the first eight innings, but could not punch anything through on C.J. Wilson. Another devastating loss in a devastatingly poor season.
