According to
FOXSports.com's Jon Morosi, the Cincinnati Reds have let it be known that
both Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake are available via trade. Both starting pitchers have been mentioned as possible targets of the Red Sox—
particularly Cueto. The 29-year old Cueto is signed through this year only—and owed about $5 million. Cueto is 6-6 on a disappointing Reds team—but boasts a stellar 2.73 ERA. He's given up only 85 hits in 118.2 innings pitched—and has struck out 113 batters already this year. He would require a significant return in top prospects. Leake is a mediocre middle-of the-rotation arm (trust us, he's on our fantasy team). This year, Leake is 6-5 with a 4.08 ERA—but would require far less of a prospect bounty. He will also bee a free agent next year, and is also owed about $5 million on his 2015 contract. Stay tuned!
