There's been a lot going on with the Red Sox in the last couple of days—
David Ortiz sitting out the rubber match against the Yankees, the eventual
loss to the Yankees in that critical game, and the celebration of
Brock Holt as the only All-Star in
Carmine Hose. Under the radar during this flurry of events,
the Red Sox have signed relief pitcher Ronald Belisario. The 32-year old righty was DFA'd by Tampa at the end of last month—and has spent most of 2015 at AAA Durham. In six MLB seasons, Belisario is 24-20 with a 3.85 ERA—all out of the bullpen. He's had his best seasons with the Dodgers ('09, '12).
