Papelbon In Carmine Hose Again? |
Never one to hold back,
former Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon told an All-Star Game press conference that the Phillies should "**BLANK** or get off the pot" regarding trading him. Tell us how you
really feel, Pap! The 34-year old was named an All-Star for the sixth time—and is actually having one of the best years of his career (1.60 ERA for a
truly crappy team). He's in the final year of his contract, and has already said that
he'd be OK coming home to Boston. Now that
Jason Grilli is out for the year with an Achilles injury, Papelbon might be a reasonable target for the wobbly Red Sox 'pen.
