At least
part of the next 'great Red Sox team' may be playing before your very eyes. Three of them—
Eduardo Rodriguez,
Mookie Betts and
Xander Bogaerts were integral parts of
Boston's 5-3 win over The Evil Ones on Saturday. Rodriguez delivered 6 1/3 solid frames—giving up just two runs. Boston's one-run edge was expanded after Bett's tripled in a run and Bogearts another in the seventh.
Hanley Ramirez clouted his 19th HR of the year and
David Ortiz and
Alejandro De Aza each had two hits—but it was the "kids" that energized this win. Boston is now just 5.5 games out of first in the very strange AL East.
