Next Stretch May Prove Vital To Red Sox Hopes
The next six games offer the Red Sox an opportunity to finally make up some ground in the putrid American League East. Three wins in Baltimore and three more in Toronto would send a clear message to the division that Boston is—at last—playing to its payroll potential. Their latest savior—Eduardo Rodriguez—will start the quest tonight at Camden Yards. A win would extend the current streak to four and pull The Carmine Hose clear of the Birds—out of the division basement. Later this month, Boston will play division rivals eight more times—so on July 1st we should know for certain whether they are contenders or pretenders.
