Andrew Benintendi—the Red Sox top pick in the recent MLB Draft (#7 overall)—has added yet
another award to his trophy case. Previously, he was
Baseball America National Player Of The Year,
Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Year, recipient of the
Dick Howser Trophy and
SEC Player Of The Year. Now,
Benintendi is the 2015 Golden Spikes Award winner. The award (sponsored by
Major League Baseball) is presented by
USA Baseball to honor the top amateur baseball player in the nation. Previous Golden Spikes winners include:

Will Clark,
Jason Varitek,
J.D. Drew,
Alex Gordon,
Tim Lincecum,
