Anderson Espinoza |
Last year, the Red Sox signed one of the top-rated pitching arms on the international market—RHP
Anderson Espinoza. After
a dominating stint this year in the Dominican Summer League (1.20 ERA, 21 Ks, 3 BB, 15 IP), he has now been promoted to the Gulf Coast League—which begins play soon. The 17-year old is slight of stature (6 feet, 160 pounds), but has an easy motion that has allowed him to hit as high as 99 MPH on radar guns. The young Venezuelan could make a quick progression through the low-levels of the Red Sox minor league system this year. Keep an eye out for him!
