While neither move comes as a real surprise,
the Red Sox placed starter Joe Kelly (bicep issues) and closer Koji Uehara (hamstring issues) on the 15-day disabled list. Both players could be back in time for the fifth game of the regular season—the April 11th contest against the New York Yankees.
