As much as we rail on about the inadequacies of 103-year old Fenway Park, at least you don't wait around much to take care of "personal" business. Gone are the days of "trough" urinals in the Men's Rooms and less than spotless bathroom conditions. Now, a trip to the Fenway john is pretty much like any other public restroom experience (although we do notice that there are usually lines outside the Ladies' facilities). Nonetheless, nothing at
America's Most Cramped Ballpark could compare with what happened last night at Wrigley Field. Apparently, due to renovations,
the Cubbies had just two functioning restrooms for 35,000 fans. There were waits as long as 45 minutes at the restrooms, and—as you might imagine—a few irate patrons. Said the Cubs after the debacle,
"We want to apologize to our fans for the inconvenience tonight. Moving forward we plan to supplement the existing restrooms with additional portable units and will continue to monitor wait times." Uh-huh.
