There are cold responses, and then there are
frigid ones. Trust us, living in Boston the last two weeks, we
know our frigid. So, when we heard
the response of Wade Boggs to an inquiry about Roger Clemens joining him in the Hall of Fame, we recognized it for what it was. Said
The Chicken Man,
"That's up to the writers. They vote." When pressed further on the topic, Boggs curtly replied,
"I don't vote." Clearly, Boggs and Clemens were never 'buddy-buddy' on those old Red Sox teams, but it's pretty clear now how deep the rift must have been between them. Given a choice, we're going Boggsie all the way.
