According to a report by Jon Heyman of
CBSSports.com,
the Red Sox, Yankees and Padres are the "favorites" to sign 19-year old Cuban phenom Yoan Moncada. Some baseball executives are also saying that the Dodgers and Brewers are in the mix. Moncada's agents have said they want him to be signed by the end of February, so that he can participate in Spring Training activities with his new team. Boston would
really have a crowded field of OF/IF options if they sign Moncada—although he would likely be shipped to the minors for at least the first part of 2015.
