At this rate,
John Henry may have to pay for an addition to the Red Sox bullpen. Boston added yet
another relief pitcher today—
signing right-hander Jess Todd to a contract. Todd has spent the last few seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization—mostly at AAA. He last pitched in
The Show in 2010 for the Indians—posting a 7.50 ERA in just five games. He's 36-23 in his minor league career with a 3.32 ERA. Todd will likely serve as
really "deep depth" in the Red Sox organization.
