The Bronx Embalmers were toying with Miller just to gain negotiating leverage with their own free agent reliever—
David Robertson. Apparently, however, the
Steinbrenner Brood (
TweedleDumb and
TweedleDumber) are intent on getting the tall lefty. Miller delivered a 2.02 ERA last year between Boston and Baltimore. Let's hope this is just more bloviation from the notoriously anti-Boston Rosenthal.
