Not content to add only
one World Champion Giant to their roster,
the Red Sox are reportedly also interested in acquiring relief pitcher Sergio Romo.
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick claims that
The Carmine Hose—along with the Dodgers and
The Evil Ones—are expressing interest in the 31-year old hurler. Romo owns a 2.51 ERA over seven MLB seasons and has given up about 100 fewer hits than innings pitched (our key pitching stat). He has also averaged 10.1 strikeouts per nine innings over that span.
