Be honest, you've pretty much had it with all the Red Sox prospect talk. Even so, are you ready for another guy you've never heard of who has shot up the list over the last year? Enter
Manuel Margot—a 20-year-old outfielder (yes,
another outfielder!) who is ranked as
the organization's #3 prospect by the authoritative
SoxProspects.com. The more global
TopProspectsAlert.com lists Margot as #5 in the Red Sox pecking order. So, what's his story? He's fast, projects as a plus defender in CF and can hit (nearly .300 in two Single A stops in 2014). At just 6' and 170 pounds, he's slight but has quick hands that could turn him from a line-drive hitter into one with a little more pop. He was named as the organization's
Baserunner Of The Year for 2014. Who knows? Maybe there will be another
"Manny Being Manny" era in a Red Sox outfield.
