the Chicago Cubs will hold formal meetings and a team tour for free-agent pitcher Jon Lester. The events will take place next week in Chicago. Lester, of course, has a long-term familiarity with current Cubs President
Theo Epstein. Reports suggest that six teams are interested in Lester's services—including renewed interest by the Red Sox. Stay tuned.
