Rubby De La Rosa pitched an otherwise decent game through four innings—but he made one critical mistake to
Jose Bautista. That mistake led to a three-run HR and
a 3-1 loss to Toronto.
Steven Wright finished out the game with five scoreless innings—all while tending to his seashell collection between innings. The loss removed any remote hope that Boston would re-capture the AL East Flag—as Baltimore's win eliminated the
2014 Carmine Hose. The "offense"—such as it was—was "paced" by a
