Top Red Sox pitching prospect
Henry Owens pitched a scoreless first inning in yesterday's Futures Game at Target Field.
The USA team won, 3-2 and the tall lefty acquitted himself well in the outing. So far this year, Owens' AA stats are amazing (12-3, 2.21 ERA, 111 Ks, .183 opponent batting average). These are the kinds of stats that get you promoted to AAA—which should be happening soon. After that, who knows? If Boston makes one (or more) trades involving starters, Owens
might be in Fenway before the year is out.
