According to
WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, there is
"nothing going on" between the Red Sox and Dodgers regarding a deal for outfielder Matt Kemp. Boston clearly has a need for more offensive production from the outfield, but apparently management is put off by Kemp's hefty contract obligations (5 years, $107 million
after this year). This weekend, multiple rumors were floated about Boston "scouting" the Dodgers. According to Bradford, there is
also no interest in another of LA's excess outfielders—
Dustin Pedroia's good buddy
Andre Ethier.
