The Red Sox announced on Wednesday that they have signed journeyman outfielder Andres Torres to a minor-league deal. With one of the the worst offensive outfields in baseball, Boston needed to add

The Grady Sizemore Era in Boston. Torres (a solid defender and a switch-hitter) hit left-handed pitchers at a .291 clip last year in San Francisco—while Sizemore is hitting just .157 against port-siders this season.
