The Editors of
FenwayNation have announced their choices for the 2014
'Best O' Nation' Media Awards. For the second straight year, the
Providence Journal has nabbed the award for
Best Sox Newspaper Coverage. This year's award for
Best Baseball Writer goes to
Bill Ballou of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.
The Portland Press-Herald's
Kevin Thomas won the award for
Best Web Columnist for his
"Clearing The Bases" blog.
Dave O'Brien of
WEEI/ESPN was again named the
Best Play-By-Play man, while
Best Local Sports Radio Personality went to
WEEI's
Kirk Minihane (it's OK, think of it as our
TIME Magazine Person of the Year, measuring
influence, not support). And, once again,
WBZ-TV's
Dan Roche was the
Best Local TV Sports Anchor. Congratulations to the 2014 winners!
