Felix Doubront (who went on the DL May 21st)
returns to action tonight in Oakland—but his appearance in the rotation may be short-lived. The lefty is taking the spot of
Brandon Workman, who was suspended six games for his phantom plunking of
Evan Longoria. Workman (and
Rubby De La Rosa for that matter) have been so effective as starters that Doubront may need to head to the bullpen after tonight. Reportedly,
Clay Buchholz will be back sometime soon as well—which creates yet another conundrum for Boston.
