The Editors Of
FenwayNation have named
Shane Victorino as their 2014 'First Citizen' for his numerous charitable efforts. The Red Sox outfielder's
Shane Victorino Foundation (SVF) is dedicated to promoting opportunities for under-served youth. Founded in 2010, it engages in projects which provide children in need with educational, recreational and wellness programs. In addition to programs in Philadelphia and his native Hawaii, Shane hosts the
Flyin’ Hawaiian All-Stars charity ticket program in Boston—where local children’s groups are treated to an unforgettable day at the ballpark.
FenwayNation salutes Shane and we are proud to give him this honor. You can find out more about Shane's foundation
