a right hand contusion. The injury occurred earlier in the game when Pedroia had to make a diving save of a throw to second on a stolen base attempt. Any loss of
The Muddy Chicken—short-term or long—would be a devastating blow to the surging Red Sox. Initial X-Rays came back negative, but Pedroia will undergo further testing today.
