A 45-year old Methuen, Massachusetts man was charged with larceny for allegedly
trying to steal an autographed Ted Williams baseball from a memorabilia show.
Michael Glidden is alleged to have taken the ball from a table at the Marlborough, MA sports show on Saturday. A nearby witness told the vendor, who tracked down Glidden. When confronted by police, Glidden said it was a "mistake" and claimed he'd be willing to pay the $600 cost of the ball. Reportedly, the suspect has an outstanding warrant in New Hampshire.
