Bogie Sitting Out Wednesday Finale Vs. Reds

Apparently, 21-year old ballplayers need days off, too. Xander Bogaerts will sit our today's tilt against the Cincinnati Reds—with the immortal Jonathan Herrera taking his place at shortstop. Call us old fogies if you must, but we think Xander should be out there today. This team needs every resource it can muster to get back to .500 before hitting the road for six games. Yeah, yeah, the kid needs a bit of a respite—but, come on, he's 21. We doubt that he's that exhausted after playing 31 whole games. As much as we love it, baseball is not the most grueling sport. Let him play.
