The Four We Lost |
Before Sunday night's nationally-televised ESPN broadcast,
the Red Sox will pay tribute to the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. The ceremony will begin about 6:30 PM—about one-half hour before the 7:05 first pitch. The team will acknowledge the widespread support from across the nation, and salute those who saved lives and have helped the city heal. There will be a remembrance of the four who lost their lives that day:
Krystle Campbell,
Martin Richard,
Lingzi Lu, and MIT Police Officer
Sean Collier. Officers from of the
Boston Police,
Watertown Police, and
Massachusetts State Police will carry the colors during the ceremony. In addition, good will expressions from around the country will be displayed on canvases lining the outfield warning track.
