John Lackey had yet another stellar performance (8 innings, 2 earned runs) and
Shane Victorino went 4-4 in
a chilly 7-4 Red Sox win over the Rays at Fenway. Lackey is now 4-2 and can legitimately lay claim to the 'ace' label on this team.
Jackie Bradley, Jr. and
A. J. Pierzynski aided Victornio with the offense—each contributing key RBI hits. Boston scored five runs in the sixth, but needed all the runs they could muster as the Rays mounted a two-run comeback in the ninth.
