According to
WEEI.com's Rob Bradford,
contract negotiations between the Red Sox and Jon Lester will be resolved before Opening Day—
one way or the other. Neither side has any desire for talks to drag into the 2014 season. Lester will be in the final year of his contract and—without a new agreement—the lefty would become a free agent at the end of this season. Lester's agents have been in discussions with Boston GM
