Red Sox legend
Jerry Remy told Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy that he plans to be in the NESN broadcast booth on Monday—and for the rest of the 2014 season. In the wake of a scathing
Globe article last Sunday, some have called for Remy's dismissal. Others have remained in support of Remy staying on. Said Remy,
"I’m not stupid. I hear stuff, but I’d like to just pass on [commenting on] that. I’m planning on being there Monday and that’s the best I can say right now." Asked by Shaughnessy if things were harder this week than last, Remy replied with a terse,
"Yeah". Here's hoping it get easier for Remy as the season moves on.
