The word is back on
Jose Iglesias. And it's not good for the young phenom or the Detroit Tigers. According to
Dr. Thomas Clanton,
Iglesias will be out between four and six months—effectively wiping out his 2014 season. He will also undergo continued tests to determine why the stress fractures in both legs didn't heal in the off-season. Said Tigers GM
Dave Dombrowski,
"[He could] perhaps be back later in the year, but in my thought process that's more unlikely than likely at this point." This news seems to enhance the likelihood that Detroit will go hard after free-agent
Stephen Drew.
