Green Monster Seats Get New 'Dynamic' Pricing
The last time we checked, the politically-correct ownership of the Red Sox was oriented toward a philosophy that looks out for the little guy. All you have to do is check out the politicians they hob-nob with. Reality, however, says something quite different. After burdening fans with a usurious "tiered-pricing" policy for 2014 tickets, their latest scheme is "dynamic pricing" for the coveted Green Monster Seats. Once you get past all the PR gobbledy-gook, the bottom line is pricing will be determined by real-time demand for each game. Of course, you can be sure that it will mean higher Green Monster prices for every game. The team is "partnering" with two firms—Qcue and tixtrack—that will "monitor" the demand for John Henry. Grab your wallets, folks!
