ESPNBoston's Gordon Edes writes that
there is "no doubt" that a David Ortiz contract extension will be agreed to soon—perhaps "in the next few days". There has been much speculation about the likelihood of such a pact, but it appears that both sides are now hinting that a deal is imminent. Stay tuned.
