Old friend (and Boston native)
Manny Delcarmen may be back in the major leagues this year. Currently signed to a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals, Delcarmen is hitting the mid-90s again on his fastball. While expected to start the year at AAA, he is likely the first in line for a call-up before his June 1 opt-out date. Delcarmen was an important piece of Boston's 2007 World Series Championship team, but suffered a string of injuries—one of which led to
Tommy John surgery. Just the
