In a span of 24 hours,
the Atlanta Braves starting pitching situation got a little desperate—with new injuries to
Kris Medlen (strained right forearm) and
Brandon Beachy (discomfort in bicep) along with
lingering shoulder concerns for
Mike Minor. It seems like the Braves
might be a nice trade partner for some of the "excess" Red Sox pitching—although
FingerGate has called into question just how much excess there really is. The Red Sox still need to address a dearth of infield depth and could find help on the Atlanta roster. Stay tuned.
