| FN Poll Results From March 2013 |
Exactly one year ago today, we analyzed a
FenwayNation Poll asking readers how many games they thought
David Ortiz would play in 2013. In reality, Big Papi suited up for 137 of the team's 162 games (85%)—despite missing a bunch of April games recovering from his Achilles tendon issues. In our poll, only 5% of readers thought Ortiz would make that many games (a range of between 126 and 150 games). The plurality (31%) thought he'd make it to somewhere between 76 and 100 games. Of course, not only did he show up, he also got 600 at-bats, hit .309, clouted 30 HRs and drove in 103. Oh, and did we mention, he was
