now says
discussions between the team and the shortstop have been "continuous". Basically, you can pick whichever rumor you like best and go with it. Meanwhile, Red Sox brass continue to play
'katy-bar-the-door' with Drew, knowing that they may be his last refuge in a few days. Of course,
John Farrell needs to know
pretty quickly whether to give
Xander Bogaerts ground balls at third or short.
