The Bronx Embalmers are picked to finish a distant third in the division—followed by the Blue Jays and the Orioles. Other division winners are seen as Detroit and Oakland in the AL, and Washington and St. Louis in the NL. Both Boston and Tampa are projected to win 89 games, nine fewer than the team PECOTA sees as the best in baseball—the Los Angeles Dodgers.
