Today through Wednesday, the 2013 World Series trophy will be on display in Japan—accompanied by Red Sox relievers Kojji Uehara and Junichi Tazawa. On Tuesday, Uehara and Tazawa will visit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe and—along with Wally The Green Monster—present Abe with a Red Sox jersey. Later, the trophy will be at a reception held by U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy (of 'Sweet Caroline' fame). Renowned Boston-connected conductor Seiji Ozawa will also be there. Finally, the general public will get a chance to ogle the hardware at the MLB Café Tokyo.
