As The Bronx Embalmers start clearing roster spots (they just released Vernon Wells today) for what they think will be the presence of Masahiro Tanaka, other clubs are not rolling over for them. In fact, the Los Angeles Dodgers are letting it be known that they will not be out-bid for the Japanese star. This must be giving the Yankee owners (TweedleDumb and TweedleDumber) night sweats as they peruse their 2014 starting rotation—or lack thereof. The Evil Ones are—by far—the most desperate team in the Tanaka Hunt. Unless, of course, 85-year old Whitey Ford comes out of retirement.
