Maybe the new Cubbie mascot was part of a master plan to lure
Masahiro Tanaka to The Second City. Nah, maybe not. Anyway, Ken Rosenthal of
FOXSports.com is reporting that
Theo Epstein is "pushing hard" in an effort to land the Japanese hurler. Reports also continue to suggest that many other teams (Evil Ones, Dodgers, Angels, Mariners, and possibly Boston) are still in the Tanaka Hunt. Again, January 24th is the deadline to sign the player.
