Nomar—Game 5 '03 ALCS (FenwayNation Photo) |
Former Red Sox great
Nomar Garciaparra will join a newly-formed Dodger broadcasting team starting next year. The Dodgers are about to finalize a mega-deal with
Time Warner (part of the reason they have so much cash to blow). Apparently, Nomar will be doing pre- and post-game analysis—a similar "in-studio" role to his recent experience on
ESPN. Another ex-Red Sox player (
Steve "Psycho" Lyons) is being dumped in the new regime. Nomar demonstrated a few rough edges in his time at
ESPN, but he has the smarts to grow into an effective analyst. Good luck to Nomar!
