Ben Cherington appeared on
MLB Network Radio's Power Alley show (on
SiriusXM) and made clear that the team would
"love" to have
Jacoby Ellsbury back in 2014. Cherington said Boston will
"keep the door open" on negotiations with the free-agent centerfielder—although he also said the teams needs to
"look at alternatives". BenCher went on,
"He has a skill set that is not easy to replicate—with both speed and power." He went on to say that Ellsbury has
