Bill Maher Trashes Red Sox Marathon Tribute
Generally, we consider Bill Maher to be one of the best 'cutting-edge' commentators around (see his hilarious Religulous documentary). However, we feel he went over the line in his outrageous comments about the Red Sox tribute to Marathon victims during the recent Duckboat Championship Parade. Said Maher on his Real Time HBO show, "I also saw, so the Red Sox won the World Series, congratulations Red Sox. So the parade, they go to the place where the marathon bombing took place, they put the World Series statue [sic] there and they sing God Bless America and they say 'Boston strong' and they chant 'USA,' you know. It was again, a bad day, three people died, that's terrible. More were maimed, that's horrible, but unfortunately that happens every day, in car accidents and everything else. I mean, your city was not leveled by Godzilla." Really, Bill? You're better than that.
