Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli had the fifth longest average home run length in all of baseball. Napoli's dingers averaged 412.3 feet. The so-called
"Golden Sledgehammer" award went to the Angles'
Mike Trout with an average clout of 419.6 feet. Napoli also hit the fifth longest HR of the year back on May 1st at 472 feet. The average distance for
all HRs hit in MLB in 2013 was 396.6 feet.
