John Farrell stated that Mike Napoil (7 for 23 against Justin Verlander) will start in Game Three of the ALCS today. The manager also hinted that
Jonny Gomes (0 for 9 against Verlander) would get the start in left field. Farrell basically said Gomes is in the lineup for his "personality" and not his performance. OK.
